# The Face Analysis > The Face Analysis is a set of free face measurement tools that map 478 points on your face in your browser, with no sign-up and no photo upload, plus optional AI features — simulations, styling boards, a written Face Report, age and look-alike reads — that use credits and upload the photo you choose only when you start one. It is not a medical service and gives no diagnosis or procedure advice. Made by Indiex (https://indiex.app), which also makes: Fashio AI (https://fashiolabs.com), an AI fashion photo studio for apparel sellers; Dyslexia Steps (https://dyslexiasteps.com), free dyslexia screening and daily reading games for children; Dyscalculia.io (https://dyscalculia.io), a free dyscalculia test and daily number-sense practice. Key facts: - Measurement: 23 free tools on a 478-point face mesh (MediaPipe) running in the browser; no account, no limit; the photo is not uploaded and results stay in the browser. - Reference: scores and key ratios are percentiles against 102 adults (49 women, 53 men) from the Face Research Lab London Set (DeBruine & Jones, CC BY 4.0), measured with the site's own code. - Validity: the 1-10 attractiveness score did not predict 2,513 raters' ratings of the same faces (Spearman ρ = −0.07). Weights: symmetry 40%, three ratios 20% each. - Limits: a front photo cannot measure orbital depth, a hidden eyelid crease, nose projection or the gonial angle; the tools say so. - AI features (paid with credits or a plan, need an account, upload the chosen photo only when started): 40 procedure simulations, Glow Up and styling/treatment boards, a written Face Report, perceived-age and celebrity look-alike reads, chat. - Price: plans $7.99/mo (10 simulations + 40 AI analyses), $17.99/mo (30 simulations + 120 AI analyses), $49.99/yr (100 simulations + 400 AI analyses); one-off simulation packs $4.99 for 5, $10.89 for 12, $20.99 for 25 (pack credits never expire). No free trial of the AI features. Payments are processed by Whop as merchant of record. - Same account and credit balance as the Aesti Android app. - Adults only (18+). Not medical advice. Contact: hi@thefaceanalysis.com ## Why The Face Analysis? Other face raters give you a number. The Face Analysis tells you where that number sits among 102 research faces, publishes how well its own score works, and names what a front photo cannot measure. - **Every score has a reference: 102 research faces.** The attractiveness score, symmetry, fWHR and midface ratio are placed against 102 adults from the Face Research Lab London Set, measured with the same code, so a number comes with where it sits. - **We published how well our own score works.** On those 102 faces our composite score did not predict 2,513 people's attractiveness ratings (ρ = −0.07). The weights are shown: symmetry 40%, three ratios 20% each. - **Each tool names what it cannot measure.** A front photo cannot read orbital depth, an eyelid crease hidden under the lid, nose projection or the gonial angle. The tools say so instead of guessing. - **23 free tools, no account, numbers kept on your device.** All 23 measurement tools are free and unlimited with no account. They run in your browser, the photo is not uploaded, and no score is saved on our servers. - **Pupillary distance with no ruler or card.** Your iris is the scale: its visible diameter averages about 11.7 mm, so one photo gives PD in millimetres, within an honest ±3 mm band. - **40 procedures, rendered on your own photo.** AI simulations of 40 cosmetic procedures use credits and upload the photo you choose when you start one. Each result is an illustration, not a surgical prediction. - **One account with the Aesti app.** The same sign-in and credit balance work in Aesti, the Android app built on the same system. - **Who it is not for.** Not for medical decisions or diagnosis, and not for anyone under 18. For any procedure, talk to a qualified clinician. ## Measurement tools - [AI Attractiveness Test](https://thefaceanalysis.com/attractiveness-test): Free AI attractiveness test and face rater. A monolid is an upper lid without a crease, so the lid runs in one smooth plane from lash line to brow bone. - [Deep-set eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/deep-set): Not measurable from a front-facing photo. Deep-set eyes sit further back in the socket, so the brow bone projects over them and casts a natural shadow across the lid. - [Downturned eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/downturned): The angle of the line from the inner corner to the outer corner, in degrees. - [Upturned eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/upturned): The same inner-corner-to-outer-corner angle as downturned, read from the other end of the scale. - [Round eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/round): Eye height divided by eye width, at or above roughly 0. - [Wide-set eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/wide-set): The distance between your inner corners divided by the average width of one eye. - [Protruding eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/protruding): Not measurable from a front-facing photo. A protruding eye sits forward in the socket, so the lid curves outward over the eyeball and the eye reads prominent from the side. - [Close-set eyes](https://thefaceanalysis.com/eye-shape/close-set): The same inner-corner gap divided by average eye width, read from the low end. ## Canthal tilt - [Canthal Tilt Test](https://thefaceanalysis.com/canthal-tilt): The angle from inner to outer eye corner, in degrees, each eye separately. - [Negative canthal tilt](https://thefaceanalysis.com/canthal-tilt/negative): Below 0°. The outer corner of the eye sits lower than the inner corner. A negative canthal tilt means the outer corner of your eye sits below the inner corner. - [Positive canthal tilt](https://thefaceanalysis.com/canthal-tilt/positive): +5° and above on this test, the same cut at which the eye shape test reads upturned. The outer corner sits clearly higher than the inner corner. A positive canthal tilt means the outer corner of your eye sits above the inner corner. - [Neutral canthal tilt](https://thefaceanalysis.com/canthal-tilt/neutral): 0° up to +5°. The corners sit close enough to level that a photograph cannot call the eye clearly upturned or downturned. A neutral canthal tilt sits at or just above level — the corners are close enough in height that the eye reads horizontal rather than lifted or dropped. ## Nose types - [Nose Shape hub](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape): Seven named nose types; most are defined in profile, and the front-facing test says which. - [Roman nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/roman): Profile trait, not measurable from a front photo. A Roman nose has a bridge that curves outward — a raised ridge along the dorsum rather than a straight line from the brow to the tip. - [Button nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/button): A button nose is short and small relative to the face, with a rounded tip and a bridge that does not project much. - [Greek nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/greek): Profile trait, not measurable from a front photo. A Greek nose has a straight bridge — a dorsal line running from the brow to the tip with no hump and no dip. - [Bulbous nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/bulbous): A bulbous nose has a tip that is round and wide relative to the bridge above it. - [Snub nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/snub): Profile trait, not measurable from a front photo. A snub nose is short with a tip that rotates upward, so the nostrils become more visible from the front than usual. - [Nubian nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/nubian): A Nubian nose is described as long with a wide base and a broad, often downward-projecting tip. - [Wide nose](https://thefaceanalysis.com/nose-shape/wide): Width is the one nose property a front-facing photo measures cleanly, and it is the axis every other named shape gets confused with. ## Lip shapes - [Lip Shape hub](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape): Fullness, upper-to-lower ratio, Cupid's bow and corner angle, measured separately. - [Cupid's Bow](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape/cupids-bow): The height of the two peaks above the central dip, measured against mouth width. - [Thin Lips](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape/thin): Total lip height — the top of the upper lip to the bottom of the lower — divided by mouth width. - [Full Lips](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape/full): Total lip height divided by mouth width, above about 0. - [Heart-Shaped Lips](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape/heart-shaped): Cupid's bow peak height against mouth width, above roughly 0. - [Downturned Lips](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape/downturned): The angle from the centre of the mouth to each corner, in degrees, averaged over both sides. - [Wide Lips](https://thefaceanalysis.com/lip-shape/wide): Mouth width against face length. ## Procedure simulations (40) - [Simulations hub](https://thefaceanalysis.com/simulations): 40 procedures rendered as AI illustrations on the visitor's own photo.
