How downturned lips are measured
The angle from the centre of the mouth to each corner, in degrees, averaged over both sides. Below zero means the corners sit lower than the centre — but a relaxed neutral mouth already reads a few degrees below zero, so the tool calls lips downturned only below -6.5°.
